Vemulawada’s Development Should be Continued, BRS MLC Kavitha
Kavitha demands Vemulawada development to continue

Hyderabad: BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded that the present Congress government should continue the development works that were started during the BRS party’s rule in Vemulawada, a prominent Saivite temple of the State. She said the development should continue even after the change in governments. MLC Kavitha visited Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy temple in Vemulawada on the occasion of Mahashivaratri festival.
Speaking to mediapersons on the occasion, he said wished that Rajarajeswara Swamy's compassion should always be on the people of Telangana. “KCR has done a lot of work for the development of Vemulawada. When the BRS party was in power, KCR spent Rs 250 crore for the development of Vemulawada temple,” she recalled.
Stating that the government had purchased 30 acres of land at the temple tank during the BRS regime and handed it over to the temple, she said according to the local people, no development was happening in the area and demanded that the development works should be continued and completed at the earliest. She said Rajanna-Sircilla district was known as handloom district and added that former minister KTR had taken many initiatives for handloom workers as a minister.
“The present government is not implementing those programmes properly, due to which Sircilla has become a gallows again,” she alleged. She demanded that the government help the handloom weavers of Sircilla. She said the government should treat all constituencies equally.
She alleged that the Congress had increased the harassment of the BRS party workers in Sircilla district and added that it was a vicious government that removed a tea stall for putting up KTR’s photo on it. She said the government should immediately stop such vindictive practices.
